Rapier Rebrand

Branding/Art Direction/Web Design

Identity rebrand and website design for advertising agency Rapier Communications. After incredible highs and lows, the agency needed a look that could take them into a promising future. Using the original logo Paul Belford created in the 1990’s, I repurposed the form that people identified with when they were a household name by positioning it differently. Using just the first letter as the icon give the brand a new essence that also took influences from its routes.

Across digital and some print, I looked at combining the shapes from the original logo and how they could create limitless unique lockups that always end in a closed square. This represented how rapier as a company analyses individual customer groups and how they look at services from a different perspective compared to other agencies.

The new identity was rolled out across print and digital materials, including a new website. The fluid style looked at how each combination of the line shapes were different, but could always be complete. It represented them as an agency that solely focused on each unique customer.
